If you don’t know, now you know
What are Italy’s Covid travel restrictions?
In order to enter Italy, you will need to fill out a Passenger Locator Form (This applies to everyone, regardless of what country you’re flying from)
As of mid July, fully vaccinated American’s, or those with a negative PCR test within 48 hours of arrival, are allowed into Italy without quarantine. Please check all entry and airlines requirements for your specific situation before flying, as things are changing all the time!
Check here for the latest entry requirements: http://www.italia.it/en/useful-info/covid-19-updates-information-for-tourists.html
What is a Green Pass?
In order to do any indoor dining or tourist attractions you will need a green pass. As far as we’ve been able to find, your original CDC vaccination card should be sufficient. (or a negative PCR test within 48 hours for those who are unvaccinated)
Don’t laminate your card, instead get something like this
How and where can I get a Covid test in Sicily?
We all will need a negative Covid test before flying back to the US (vaccinated or not). We will figure out where the best places are in Italy to get tested and update you all
What tests does the CDC accept to allow me to enter back into the US?
It looks like all PCR test are accepted, and certain rapid tests as well.

Will we be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony, reception, dinner, and after party will all be outdoors. Fingers crossed for no rain!
What will the weather be like?
The wedding venue is located in the mountains, which means it will be a bit cooler than at the coast. Typically the weather is very dry with a high of 30C/86F during the day, and 20C/68F at night. Please pray for no rain and no heat wave everyone!
Is there a dress code?
Cocktail Attire: Dresses for women & jackets for men.
When and how should I book my flight?
The sooner the better! We recommend flying into Catania Airport (CTA). There are no direct flight options from NYC, but many layover options all over Europe so chose your own adventure!
Do I need a car, or can I take an Uber?
Unfortunately neither public transportation nor cabs are readily available in Sicily, so we recommend renting a car to get around.
But I don’t drive, what do I do?
Don’t panic! We have so many people coming from all over the world, we will make sure you have someone to car pool with. Just let us know if you haven’t found someone and we’ll help coordinate.
Is there a hotel airport shuttle?
There IS a shuttle provided by the hotel that can take you between the airport and hotel. The town where the hotel is located doesn’t have much to do, so if you chose this route you will NOT be able to do any sight seeing unless a nice friend is willing to take you. If you’re interested in this option, please let us know and we’ll help book it for you!
Is there parking at the venue?
Absolutely!
Can I bring my children?
While we would love for our wedding to be a relaxing night off for you, we understand that your little ones a super important to you, so of course your kids are welcome to come. Please let us know who’s coming and how old they are when you RSVP and we will look into providing a baby sitter for the night of the wedding.
Can I bring a plus one?
Of course you can. Just please let us know who they are when you RSVP.
What type of food will be served?
There will be a mix of traditional Sicilian food including meats, seafood, vegetables, pasta, and sweets. COME HUNGRY!
What kind of drinks will be served?
We are celebrating on a vineyard, so plenty of wine, along with a few non-alcoholic options.
WORD OF CAUTION: Sicilian wine is strong, so take it easy, it can hit you harder than you expect.
Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food options?
Yes, in some cases you will get a separate dish, in other cases there will just be a spread with multiple options. Please let us know what dietary restrictions you have when you RSVP.
What power converter will I need?
If it works in the EU, it will likely work in Italy, Google if you’re unsure. Also check that your electronics accept 220/240V, otherwise you’ll need a transformer. The voltage in Europe is higher than in the US, so if you’re not careful you will fry your electronics.
Most modern computers, cellphones, game consoles, and electronics in general are listed as 240V/110V, so you should be fine.
Can I use my cellphone in Italy?
If you would like to keep your US number you will need to make sure you plan supports roaming. We recommend T-Mobile in the US since they offer free international roaming. Otherwise, you can always buy a local SIM card (just make sure your phone is unlocked first).
There is WiFi at the wedding venue, however it’s not the fastest and doesn’t work everywhere. Free, public WiFi is also not readily available in Sicily, so don’t expect to rely on that as your sole means of connection.
Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?
Please do! We will update our website with a method to aggregate all of your photos and give more details about our wedding hashtag closer to the event.
