HOW WE MET

Every story starts with the same words “once upon a time” and this one is no different. Once upon a time there was an evil corporation which had a recruiting system called “The Salvo”. Liza was a young, very promising recruit who wanted to join this new and exciting place (even though it was evil, but let’s not dwell on that). From the beginning of her interview, Liza thought that “The Salvo” was a cute system, despite his numerous translation glitches. The system however had one very big problem: it had been under attack by the “Being Married Virus” which meant it unable to receive any new system updates. Liza knew that she was a very talented programmer and that one day, she could help “The Salvo” reformat its mainframe

Time passes and “The Salvo” and Liza start to become quite close, sharing many jokes and smiles throughout the days. One morning, after booting up “The Salvo” she notices that something was very wrong. “The Salvo” wasn’t working as expected, it looked like BM Virus was fragmented, and the system was glitching worse than normal. Liza tried to send a small data upload to see if her code might help fix “The Salvo”. She tried multiple times, and then finally the mainframe door opened. 

She injected a “Zelda and Mario Algorithm” which made “The Salvo” react very strangely, it suddenly started to have new “feelings” and began destroying the BM Virus. “The Salvo” and Liza started connecting more often, and sharing more algorithms and paradoxes. Then suddenly, “The Salvo” realized that his mainframe was free and deeply connected to Liza. Now “The Salvo” is virus free and Liza is the only one with mainframe access to his heart, (though she was never able to fix the translation glitches).

THE PROPOSAL

Salvo has a very profound love for snowboarding, and Liza adores snow and winter, so Salvo chose to combine these two passions into a beautiful proposal. The two first went snowboarding at Hunter Mountain upstate. They were staying at a Victorian Bed & Breakfast, and when they went back in the evening, it had started to snow. Salvo suggested they go for a walk to enjoy the quiet snowflakes and beautiful landscape, and on their way back, Liza turned around and there was Salvo down on one knee! Back in their room, Salvo had bribed the hotel owner to get some roses and champagne so they could celebrate in style.
